Another animation series that really interests me is Charlie the Unicorn which was made and posted on YouTube by SecretAgentBob. This again is a well engineered animation that is quite rough around the edges but looks great when it is finished. These particular animation shorts are very inspiring to me as they combine humour and also music into one, making this appealing to a large audience but mostly children. Even if it very random and slightly crazy to watch; this is one of my favourite animations and is a definite must watch.
The general storyline for this particular animation, which is the first in mini series, and is all about how the pink and blue unicorns want to go to Candy Mountain and they meet some interesting characters along the way combined with the strange nature of the unicorns. It is a very weird storyline and completely random but that's what makes this animation so special as there is nothing else out there like it.
When looking at the graphics they are very simple and its almost like the characters have been made out of clay or a similar material which actually works really well and makes it even more enjoyable due to the way the different characters move as well. Another thing that I really enjoy about this animation is the characters themselves as they all have there own personalities that work so well with each other as the coloured unicorns would probably never be friends with charlie and he always has to put up with so much rubbish from them, which just makes it even more entertaining.
Along with good animation and graphics the sounds are all good and very over the top. There are a lot of different sound effects that are very dramatic but fit in well with the rest of the story as the other 2 unicorns are very eccentric and over the top as well. Along with this in each of the animations, at the end usually, there is a song that the writer has made up which are again stupid and crazy and very eccentric; but again they work so well with the rest of the story and are usually ridiculous which is the best thing about the series and they are great to sing along to.
