PPP1 Research: The Sims 3

One of my favourite games throughout the years has been The Sims series, and particularly The Sims 3. The general gameplay of this involves creating a virtual character or family, building them a house and then playing with there lives in a virtual family in which you design and structure there life in any way you want. To me this is the best simulation game out there and there are so many things to do in this game.

To begin with there is the character creation in which the player can customise the way that there characters with great detail down to the size of the Sim's nostrils, which is a massive improvement from the first game. There are also many different options that cane be changed like clothing, hair styles and also ambitions and personalities; which all influence how your Sim interacts with the world later on. During this stage it is also good to have expansion packs installed as they can add more clothing, hairstyles and other items into the game to be able to customise the character further, suiting the wishes of the gamer even more.

After the character creation the gamer will then move onto creating the home in which they live in which is always so much fun, and even better the more expansion packs that you have as they each come with more content for the game, providing that you have a decent computer that is able to support each game, as they are all very large files. This was always my favourite part of the game as you are able to let your creativity go wild and create any house you want or anything you want really as there are no limitations, especially with the ability to mod.

After that, your good to go and there is only the general gameplay left to go. In my opinion this can generally be the most boring part of the whole game, as I am more into the creation of the characters and the house, so this bit doesn't interest me that much. For those who it does, there is the element that you get to play with your own characters that you have created and when they are left to there own accord get on with there own lives due to what personalities they have and what there ambitions are. The general gameplay is then also, again like the other parts of the game, enhanced by the other expansion pacts.

Another wonderful about this game is the music, it is so upbeat and happy which is another reason that I love this game, especially during the creation stages as it has its own soundtrack. The thing about this games soundtrack is that when you listen to it years later, and even when looking at the other games in the series the music is so recognisable that you instantly know you are playing a Sims game.
