Fez is a wonderful little game that I came across on Steam when looking for the next game to install. It is a 2D platformer that follows a little blobby character as he gains a fez and then travels across different worlds to collect cubes to be able to save the world as they are being eaten away by darkness and black wholes in the world.
As it is a 2D platformer it is a very simple game, which is amazing to see as they are not usually made anymore, but this game has a wonderful twist to it which is revealed during the story. The twist is that the characters are not actually living in a 2D world but actually 3D but it can only be operated from the different sides; meaning that there are 4 different planes that can be moved around, meaning that things are hidden in areas that aren't always easy to see on first look.
The music throughout this game is very soft and light and fits in well with the very cartoony feel to the game, and the general gameplay feels very floaty which fits in perfectly with the rest of the game, especially the music, as it all feels very soft and doesn't include anything too heavy.
