Moodboard and Development of Time Machine

Below I have gathered together a selection of different images of time machines so that I can design mine using these as resources. I really enjoyed investigating into all of these different ones and I really like the range of designs I managed to find as these will help me to design my own idea for a time machine that can be practically used in my final film.

I then went onto doing my development of initial ideas so that I could six starting points before deciding on what my final time machine was going to look like, and then eventually model it. I wanted to keep the machine simple but yet effective at the same time, so I looked at a number of different ways in which I could successfully achieve this using the resources from above.

1
The first one that I designed was based around Doctor Who's TARDIS but with a slight modern London phone box look to it instead which I do really  like. But there is the problem that it doesn't really fit into the theme of the look I'm going for as I wanted to give mine quite an industrial look with a time machine made from scrap metal instead a full telephone box.

This next design is definitely my favourite, it has that industrial look that looks like it has been roughly put together and not quite tested properly. This is a look that I really like as it looks like it could really fit into a laboratory and then

3
I really do like this hand held time machine design as it works well with the made-at-home approach that I wanted to do with this module and also the themes that I am trying to convey, and also it is a very different design that is quite unusual. The only downside is that I would either have to green screen this and then figure out how to film it or actually make it, which is very time consuming and might not look very good in the end.
4
I wasn't too keen on this design as it looked quite simple and there wasn't really a main section in which my character to stand on, making it difficult to judge how he would use this to go back in time. Also it could be quite hard to get into a green screen environment as it is quite an usual shape and doesn't have a lot to it.

5
I again really like this design but once again I am faced with the problem that I will have to potentially model this or make it in real life which could prove even more problematic so I think I need to stick with a more practical design.

6
The last design I am not keen o. It is again based around Doctor Who but this time the inside of the TARDIS from David Tennant's era. I guess the design is okay but it just doesn't interest me to take it further as I don't think it will work well with the rest of the designs I have made.
