For my business cards I wanted them to be a semi-standard size and 85mm by 55mm seemed to be a popular choice so I went with this. I also wanted to keep the theme of my blog running through onto these so I wanted the background on one side to be an orange or a light pink, like the background colour of my blog, but I am leaning more towards orange as it is a colour that stands out well and looks bright and vibrant. On one side of it I would want to include information about me and what I do, so it would need to state that I am a 3D environmental modeler and also my email address. I would also like the writing to be white on this side so that it stood out against the other colour which would most likely be orange. Then on the other side which I would want to be white with orange/pink, whichever I choose writing, to contrast well against the other side. On here I would want the URL to my blog and then I wanted something that would represent me in the form of an image.
I want to be able to show that I am into games and want to create games environments but then I thought that putting a tree or environment as the background would be rather boring and distract the attention from the simple look that I am trying to achieve with this look of card. So I thought about how I could also bring an essence of my blog into it and then I thought I could incorporate the name of it. As my blog is called Dinosaurs vs Unicorns I thought about adding in an image of a dinosaur and unicorn above my blog address to give it some uniqueness so I drew out a quick design on paper and then scanned it in so that I could use Photoshop to draw around the lines to make it more cartoony and then I could add in bright colours straight onto here, ensuring that it fit well with the orange/pink and the white of the background.
