Extended Practice Game Design Document

Before going any further with the project me and Sophie wanted to sit down and look at creating a Games Design Document so that we could a better idea about what is happening in our game. We have had a lot of questions from our tutors this past week asking us about the development of our game levels and there were many questions that we couldn't answer straight away, making us feel that we needed to get this done sooner rather than later so that we knew exactly what was happening at every stage of the project.

The games design document covers everything that we are going to be creating and nails everything that we want to achieve from this project. The overall nature to the games document shows everything in detail that is going to be produced and the style in which we hope to achieve. It was a great way to get all of our ideas down onto paper and we tried to make it look as professional as possible in order to use it to plan out the levels. Along with designing our levels that we were making we also looked at planning out the next couple of levels as well, up until the first boss so that we could get an idea of what was going to be following on from our levels.
