VFX Story Development Mind Map

After I knew what theme I was going to be doing I wanted to then moved onto looking at possible story ideas and how they could be used and centered around the theme of dinosaurs. I wanted to generalise the idea around all of the major dinosaurs that I looked at in the previous post so that these were the most well known and also some of the best dinosaurs. Below I took each one and thought up a few stories that could go with that dinosaur, in which some were a lot more difficult to think up ideas than others.

 After looking at all of the different possible stories that I could do for each dinosaur I decided that the dinosaur that I wanted to base my story on in the end was a Velociraptor as this had the most scope for being made into a good story as I had a lot of ideas around this dinosaur and the idea of hunting of packs is an interesting concept to look at when designing a 1 minute film. The idea that I think will be the best to go down is having a few Velociraptor's on the screen about to eat someone who has disturbed them as this has the most scope to be changed around and made better.After thinking about how I was going to go with this theme I then thought about incorporating humans into it as well, as looked back to my initial ideas mind map, and decided that time travel could also be used very easily during this. By adding this I am also able to display that I can add all of the necessary effects to be able to make it disappear, which will be lovely to see.
