Personal and Professional Practice 3: 'Engage' Studio Brief (Live Brief) - Mood Boards and Initial Ideas

We then moved onto creating mood boards to get a better idea about what we could create for this project. We looked at different throne rooms to begin with from films and games to get a good idea about what was already out there and a recurring theme definitely shows, where the rooms all look very grand and majestic, with large archways and grand looking rooms. This is something that we wanted to keep, but give it a twist. 

So we moved onto looking at different locations in which the throne could be set. Looking at lots of different locations and settings that where unusual and an unlikely ruler could be, like the ship wreak for example. These where all unusual and would work well, but we got drawn to the idea of animals more and wanted to look further into this.

So, we started to look more at animals and animals that work together to be able to get a good idea of how the animals work together, and how they use teamwork to pull this off, and there were some really nice results. We found that there were a lot of animals that worked together, like bats and dolphins but there were two that stuck out the most to us, and decided to look at bees and ants in further detail as they incredible in the way that they use team work to their advantage.
