Video Research

Once I knew what was going to happen in my video I started to do some research into how a ball would roll and also how skittles look when they fall over. This is also so that I could get the weight ratio correct of when the skittles fell over so that I could get it to look as realistic as possible.

This short 8 second animation is the same kind of look I'm aiming to produce for my final piece but with a comedic value to it so that I can use the skills I have learned in other projects as well. The above piece is also a perfect example of how the skittles will fall over which will be perfect to help me with my animation short.

The above animation is another example which will be able to help me with my animation as it will include a bouncy ball. Even though this is not the best example of how the ball moves it still gives me a general idea of how to create bounce in a ball on Maya.
