FMX Summery

Overall FMX was absolutely brilliant and I would definitely think about going again next year, even if it does come closer to our final deadline. All of the talks that we attended were brilliant and I picked up so much information from them and it has inspired me to start looking at more festivals and events that go on, based mainly around gaming, that I can hopefully attend in the future to gain more knowledge and also to start showing off some of my work. If I were to go again, this would be the main focus of my visit, along with going to just a few of the talks, mainly because you get so much out of them, but mainly for the recruiting presentations. This year I felt that I didn't have enough to show and felt that if they saw my blog it wouldn't have been as impressive as it could be, so I want to improve this further first and then go back next year and impress people further.

But it is definitely an event that I would recommend as it even helped with the Game Art and Machinima project that we had ongoing. It was a great opportunity that I was so happy that I got to be a part of and some of my favourite talks where definitely the Frozen ones, as it has given me a new interesting in lighting and how light can be crucial, and also the NVIDIA talk as it shows just how far gaming has come along and certainly where it is going in the future, which is something I hope to be a part of and influence in my own way.
