PPP2 Review: Lili

The next game that I wanted to look at is a quirky adventure type RPG called Lili, It obviously follows a girl called Lil as she lands on the mysterious island of Geos. Lili meets a number of interesting locals, gets to explore the environment, solve some puzzles and challenge in a strange 'non-combat' system for taking out enemies. Its an absolutely brilliant game that looks very interesting even though it is only available on iOS.

Lil is one of the most beautiful game that I have seen on the iOS and is definitely something that I want to buy for the iPad. The game features gorgeous locations on this island and has some of the most visually stunning, silky-smotoh graphics and cinematic storyline for the iOS generation. What I really like about this is obvious the environments. I think they are amazing. They are so well thought out and you get the sense that you are walking around a real island, even though it is of a cartoony nature.

But this is something that works so well on the iOS system. As it is not a device for running high end, next gen games, although some are coming pretty close to doing so, having this game of a cartoon nature actually does it more favours and it still looks incredible. The overall art style isn't that unique but works really well for this type of game. The plants are all quite blocky and don't have individual leaves, which again goes in its favour for not having to be too detailed, but still produce something which looks this beautiful. The overall gameplay looks fairly good as well from what I've seen from the trailers and some reviews and is definitely a game I would consider looking at. Although it has one finger control for everything you do which could take some getting used to , but for a chance to explore that environment I'm open to trying anything.
