23rd to the 29th of March 2015
This week marked the finalising of the environment and there were only a few more textures to add in this week until the environment was finished, and I did manage to gain a little bit of time back, but no too much. Once the texturing was complete I moved onto animating the level and again this did take a while, ensuring that the timing of all of the animations were correct and that the traps and things in my level where not moving into a position that would be impossible to get around with the character.
I then moved onto looking at creating the collectibles that are going to be throughout the levels, as these had already been designed it was just the case of modelling, UV mapping and texturing them ready to go in my level and Sophie's. This again went fairly straight forward and I was able to really get through this quickly and make up a little bit of time that I had lost, but still not enough to feel very confident.
This week overall has marked the completion of the environment, even though it was a slightly late completion, but nevertheless the environment has taken shape and the collectibles are ready for the script to be added on them, which is next weeks task.
