Personal and Professional Practice 3: 'Position' Studio Brief - Updating my Online Presence

As the end of Uni is fast approaching I wanted to ensure that everything online about me is up to date as it can possibly be. I went through all of my online accounts to try and make it as up-to-date as possible and ensured that I was ready for the transition away from University. 

LinkedIn

I started with my LinkedIn profile as this was the most important one to keep updated in the future as it is one of the best ways to get in contact with people in the industry and see what they are doing and where they are working. I think this is a great website to let everyone know your skills as well due to the fact that people can endorse this as well and it's almost a way of proving that you can do the skill. 

I wanted to keep my LinkedIn profile as professional as possible as it is a industry website and the people contacting me on here will be mainly for business purposes.

I also ensured that I kept updating all of the projects that I was currently working on and ensured that there was information as well to show what I have been working on most recently.

Twitter
I then went about updating my Twitter, this didn't need much doing to it, but I did update my profile image so that it was the same as my LinkedIn one and everything then looks like it bands together properly. On my Twitter throughout the year and what I will keep on doing, is continuously posting on here so that it all stays up to date and that again like on any other part of my online activity people can stay up to date with what I'm doing and producing.

YouTube
I then moved onto looking at my YouTube account, now this was a tricky one to get sorted as I wanted to ensure that I could still post videos to it even once I had finished uni. This was something that wasn't going to happen with this email as it was a college one and I do not know how long I will have access to it for.

As I had recently set up a new work email, under a gmail address, I set up a new YouTube account under it as well, making this my one that I will continue to post to once I have finished uni. I wanted to ensure that the details were all up to date on the account and also that it had all the necessary information about me on it as well to show what it is that I do. I am very happy with this so far, and this will be something that I will be constantly up dating throughout the rest of year and on wards. 

Contact For the Future
The last thing that I did to prepare for the end of Uni was to create a new blog under my new email address. Starting again with a blog is difficult and I wanted to ensure that it carried on from my last blog for uni so my final post on there will be the new link to the blog. This is something that is important to start as once again my email will no longer be activated after I finished uni so that I continue with my online presence and continue to show people what it is that I am producing outside of uni once I'm finished, hence the reason for calling it a Part 2 instead of calling it a different name altogether.
