Extended Practice Weekly Evaluation: Week 16

4th to the 7th of May 2015
This marked the last couple of days that we had for the project and it did prove a little bit stressful to try and get everything done in time, just to a really good quality standard that we wanted. The game was now finished and all that was left was the create the cinematics.

Once going though, the cut scenes that we managed to make went smoothly and the overall look to them was really good at the end, making us very happy to see everything come together neatly and quickly. I wish we had a bit of time to get all of the cut scenes together as we were only able to make a few, but the ones we did looked really good. We then looked at linking everything together and then it was simply just play testing everything to ensure it all worked correctly and looked really good in the end. I think the overall product is fantastic and we have both worked incredibly hard pretty much every day for the last few months to make this the case.

Despite the last month being a bit stressful to get everything done, there wouldn't be much I would change about the project and how we completed it. We did everything that we said we would and where able to completely make a game from scratch with two playable levels and a hub world, something that I never would have thought I would have been able to do at the start of the year.

Lastly this week as we had a little bit of time to spare we thought about the marketing and merchandising of the product so that if it where turned into a game, how would everything look about it. So we took a bit of time out to design the box art, a promotional poster and an instruction booklet for the game. This was actually really fun and not too difficult to do as most of the characters would feature on the front box art, which the background being the hub world, the poster was the same, and for the instruction booklet we took a lot of the text from our games design document, making these very simple to completely make, but with a really nice finish, like the rest of the project as a whole.
