27th of April to the 3rd of May 2015
Now in the last week before the final couple of days has been a bit stressful to get everything done, especially because college is not open tomorrow which means Unity isn't going to be touched until them. This week started by adding the final touches to the game really which involved adding in the final sound effects into the game, which was really fun to listen to as we had got them from an outside source and they had put a lot of hard work into them to get them sounding perfect and giving the game even more character then it already had!
I then moved onto beginning to look at creating possible cinematics for the game. This seemed like it could be something that we could realistically get done in a days once we got back to Uni on Tues and I was very eager to include them as they really tied the whole game together! I started by creating a script for them, and for the game play in some ways as well. The script goes through not only everything that happens in the cut scenes but possible dialog situations that can happen in game, which will all appear via text bubbles at the bottom so we do not have to include voice acting, just noises.
I then designed the storyboards to get all of the camera angles correct in every scene and to ensure that I knew what kind of framing was going to happen in each shot. This was important to nail and get right so that when I moved onto actually making them I was able to do this easily by setting up my cameras really quickly.
Lastly as I couldn't start my cut scenes without Unity I decided to get some final bits of blogging done and also make a start on my main evaluation until I could get back on the computers. Overall the week could have been more productive and I wish there weren't things to finish up next week but sadly there are and it's going to have to be crammed into two days in Uni.
